The original Nespresso Vertuoline pods can be costly for daily use and are not environmentally friendly. Although the original pods can be reused, their easily-damaged shells typically allow for only a few uses. To address these limitations, we have developed a stainless steel filter that is compatible with Vertuoline machines. This filter will help you save money, be kinder to the environment, and still enjoy your favorite coffee.

To achieve a perfect Espresso, consider the following tips:

GRIND IS EVERYTHING! We generally recommend using a medium or fine grind. Open an original Nespresso Vertuoline pod to study the grind, then try different grinds, such as LAVAZZA or Illy, to see the difference. In our experience, the Lavazza and Illy ground coffees produce a crema very similar to the original pods.

PACK AND PRESS THE COFFEE GRIND APPROPRIATELY. Experiment with different volumes of coffee grind (usually 8-10g) in the pod to find the best Espresso for your taste. Avoid over-grinding the beans, as this can result in a diluted Espresso. Also, do not press the coffee grind as firmly as commercial baristas do with a semi-automatic machine; just a light press is sufficient.
